New Baby!
Stopping by the blog real quick to post one from this morning...
I was photographing this sweet baby boy, and we had the other “child” pose with him for a few shots.
She sure loves the little guy!
I haven’t even gone through the rest of the images yet---but I came across the images of the two of them when I was transferring the files and thought this was too sweet to *not* share with Mommy & Daddy!

Update...
I had mentioned offering portrait parties in time for Valentine’s Day, but my January schedule filled up before I had a chance to choose which days I could set aside...
So instead of a full day of sessions, I have a few “regular” openings left between now and Valentine’s Day, and anyone that books one of those is welcome to invite a friend & split the session cost!
(Offer also applies to those who have already scheduled a session in January & February).

I photographed this little boy as a newborn, and now he turned O-N-E!

3-Week-Old Sweetness
She was born in October---and I got to take pictures of her 3 weeks later.
What a precious little autumn bundle!

But she actually preferred to be awake most of the time
And she was so bright-eyed and alert
...even gave me a little bit of silliness

Thanks to Mommy for having me over and filling your living room with my props & backdrops! You’re awesome, and she was so worth it!

(Not-So-Mini) Minisessions
The sessions were moved to Ross Lake Park in Beaverton (after I drove past and saw the leaves and decided I couldn’t *not* shoot there).
There were a few probs finding it for those coming from out of town (darn GPS’s!), but thankfully everyone ended up in the right spot.
I found that the sun moves pretty quickly this time of year, and also that I’m really not that good at calling children by their own names.
But all in all, I am super excited about how smoothly everything went! You guys are all great, and my sister and I are both touched by how many families participated. You guys are awesome!!
I am super DUPER excited to show you guys some of the images. I have lots more---I haven’t even looked thru them all yet---but I wanted to share a few that stood out to me as I was glancing over them.
Here are some of the proofs that will be in online galleries next week. :)
I photographed these two when they were babies! They’re growing up!
And just as adorable as ever! It was wonderful to see them again!
On a bench in front of the lake here.
Such a great-looking family! And that little guy was so sweet!
This little girl had her smiles down pat.
What fun she was!
I can’t say enough about this family...
They are so beautiful, both inside and out.
Two of the most important people to me...
...they brought me into this world and raised me and love me.
Don’t my parents look great??
And this little boy was so adorable!
Love those cheeks and little toes!
Three generations (including three super cute kiddos)!
Very friendly, sweet family---we love them!
The sun was giving us some gorgeous light right about this time...
And this is another wonderful family---I’ve photographed the little boy several times before, and I loved doing a session with the whole family!
Another good-looking family---
---with some crazy boys (altho you can’t really tell in this picture)!
Such a fun family!

MiniSession Weekend
I just wanted to give everyone a great big "THANK YOU” for the fantastic weekend of minisessions!
Due to the gorgeousness of the trees just down the road from her house, we ended up doing the sessions at Ross Lake Park.
True to my overshooting self, I shot waaaay more images that I intended to---couldn’t help it! So, for those waiting to see their proofs, there will be plenty to choose from. :)
After everyone was photographed and gone, I took this photo of my sister with her 3 kids, just outside their home. I love them so much!

Here For A Visit...
Here are two beautiful little girls I had the opportunity to photograph just before summer ended.
They came all the way from Idaho for a visit.

My Lovely Niece
I haven’t really had much of an area to set up studio since we moved here, which is one reason I had stopped shooting senior portraits.
I’ve made a few exceptions when it came to close family & friends, but the more I photograph seniors, the more I want to start offering senior sessions again.
Here is my niece. I was so excited to do her pictures! She’s the oldest of the “grandchildren”, so the first to graduate, and she is a wonderful, talented girl.
We decided to do the pictures at my house.
I moved some furniture around, set up my backdrop stand, and voila! Studio!
I believe the most important part of a portrait is the eyes...
And I absolutely love hers’...
They’re such an amazing shade of blue
We did a few outside---love how her hair was just the right shade of golden (and the wind was perfect).
She’s so beautiful!
And super cute, too!
I love it when she smiles!
Later we headed down to the little train museum down the road
